List any relevant plug-ins or scripts:
GAP

I downloaded Gap but I cannot find it listed in any of the menus.
There is a lot of files under Video that look like they belong to GAP. Did I not get a complete download? Is there a specific version that I should get to work properly?

I haven't had much luck myself with installing GAP on 2.8.14.
I'm sorry I can't be of more help, but I can't get it to work for me either.

G drive!?
How many drives do you have and why are you using the G drive?

The Video menu in Gimp is all GAP, there are also two (I believe), under Filters menu, Split Video Into Frames & Video Index Creation. I think that's it but I feel I'm missing something else?
GAP is not one UI it's a collection of specific tools.
In Linux we have man files for GAP, if you don't have them in Windows check the GitHub docs.

Attached is an old GAP Tutorial by Scott Bicknell that might help with finding menus.
Check the Gimp Chat Tutorials Index for more GAP tutorials. A good place to start would be tutorials by ccbar.

I have C (Local), D (recovery drive), E (HP Tools), F, (DVD Drive) G (Gigastone external) & Q (which is not accessible). I use my external (G Drive) to save files on it rather than my C drive.

No worries Wallace. I just wonder, why my external isn't listed in the folders when I say extract videorange for the input files. That's only why I asked. :)

That's a good question. It might be a windows glitch of some kind.
I'd also like to know why your external isn't listed, when it obviously should be.

I don't know what I did wrong, if anything when I installed GAP since I followed the instructions that were given.

If it's all working, except for what you mentioned. Then you installed it correctly, but I don't understand why your external isn't part of the list of available drives.

Is your external drive available to other programs?

Yes it is. It is just not available when I try to access it from GAP when I call up the extract video range selection and look through the files.

Maybe you should report that to the developer of GAP.

What were you trying to do with GAP when you couldn't access the drive?
Which dialog was not working for you and what file format?

GAP on Linux has better integration with encoding options than Windows.
I'm curious if you have the MPlayer option listed in the menu below?

I was just curious because I might want to create a gif from a video file and my external isn't in the list. I have the MPlayer option listed in the menu but I get an error when I call it up because I don't have it installed.

I'm still trying to figure out what list/dialog and what file format(s) your talking about? GAP has too many plugs-ins and options to guess. If you can access your main drive it's not a GAP problem and you can always use it or are your short on space? To troubleshoot your issue this basic information is important.
