Hi Folks,

can you please tell me how to convert a selection into a mask. I want to convert a selected area into a mask. Also, how do you delete/remove a selected area to leave a transparent area i.e to remove a background? Many thanks, Ray

One you create you selection, create a new black layer and then fill the selection with white then de-select. You now have your mask. :)

...and if you need to remove a background selection, first Add Alpha Channel to the Layer.
