GIMP Version: 2.8.14

GIMP Experience: New User



hi

I'd like to add watermark (only text e.g kenny1999).to my pictures

However, I would like to rotate the text to 45 degree

in addition. I would like to add a lot of the same watermark (e.g kenny1999) which is also rotated 45 degree to the same picture

Please help, I am newbie

Location: Native to NYC living in Arizona, Gimp 2.8 & 2.10, Win 11 PC.
You can also create your watermark using text as a pattern.

I first set up my text to use as a pattern.
By putting out my text.
Auto Cropping it and then using Layer Boundary Size,
adding 12 pixels to both the Width and Height then centering it.
Once this was done.
I copied the text and use the Pattern's Clipboard.
To fill a transparent layer above my image,
using the Clipboard Text Pattern that I copied.
Rotated the text pattern layer as desired.
Scaled to fit, if needed.
Lowered it's opacity.
Crop and your done.

This may sound involved,
but I was able to accomplish this very quickly.

You can also create a large PNG image,
with transparency of your watermark.
Then just use it to apply the watermark to your image as needed.

I also made this one using the same method,
as described above.
