GIMP Version: 2.8.14
Operating System: Windows
GIMP Experience: New User


I have an annoying little problem.

Whenever I open the Select>RoundedRectangle dialog box it opens up beneath the current gimp window. So at first I think it didn't open. Then I have to go down to windows task bar and select that tab to bring it to the front. Very minor problem but EXCEPTIONALLY annoying.

could be a temporary problem of Windows; which version do you have?

This is a bug that was reported 12 years ago: https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=138298

It got fixed recently: https://git.gnome.org/browse/gimp/commit/?h=gimp-2-8&id=4bea7134fd11ceaffd759887eb5a820f493e9af5

But you'll have to wait for either GIMP 2.8.18 or 2.10.?

It opens on top for me in Windows 10 64 bit. GIMP-2.8.16.
