Looks like it does not support Chinese fonts, but I am not sure.

I've attached a beautiful Chinese font here.

After installing the font, I cannot find out the font in GIMP.

Anyone would test and help?

May be possible...
but I don't know if your Win OS support that fonts.

In Debian:

"Good Morning" translated to Traditional Chinese with google translator, copy & paste to Text tool editor.
A drop shadow layer added.

It supports to display Chinese font. But I am not sure if it supports displaying the font style that is designed for Chinese text. I've attached a Chinese font style in the earlier replies

By the way, can you teach me know how to add shadow layer. It looks great.

With Text layer selected you only have to go to

Filters > Lights & shadows >Drop Shadow and apply.

Usually I uncheck "allow to resize"

After installing I find the two fonts (DFErW3-B5,DFPErW3-B5), but they look identical with chinese characters(*).

In any case the problem may be more the support of TTC fonts than the support of Chinese. Maye you can convert your TTC to two separate TTF...

(*) which may not too surprising since a purpose of TTC is to avoid duplication across fonts that have common characters.

Yes, there are two fonts. They look alike but not actually Identical, if you look closely.

However, I can't find out how to let GIMP to display those styles

I give you some Chinese text here you can try out to see

你好嗎,我很好?

If I look closely they are identical, and if I set one layer in difference mode and move it above the other, I get nothing but black emptiness, so the two images are identical. Otherwise, what should have been the visible difference?

PS: That font look rather hand-drawn. Is it the Chinese version of Comic Sans?

Try to do it again in Ms Paint

I obviously observe the difference when I use the fonts in Ms Paint.

After all, I still wish to know how to install the font style to GIMP

Now I have to copy the Chinese text from Ms Paint to GIMP and Auto-crop the layer , it's very troublesome

MS Paint? That would be on Windows?

You can perhaps find a font utility to convert the .TTC into a set of individual TTFs that Gimp and its font support will better understand.

I converted the file to .TTF files using http://transfonter.org/ttc-unpack as offnuts suggested.
copied them to my gimps's font folders and reopened gimp
there seem to be no differences in chinese characters.
but their abcs are a little different
