GIMP Version: 2.8.14
Operating System: Mac OS
OS Version: 10.8.5 Mountain Lion
GIMP Experience: New User


Hi,

A couple of days ago I installed Directors Gothic 250 Semi-Bold and Directors Gothic 250 Semi-Bold Oblique, downloaded from myfonts. Both versions show up in OpenOffice, but the Oblique isn't showing up in Gimp. The text box options list Directors Gothic 250 Semi-Bold (regular) twice.

Any help would be much appreciated!

I'm not a Mac used, but did you place these fonts into your Gimp fonts folder?

Hi Wallace -- Thanks for the reply. I installed the fonts via Font Book, but per your suggestion I have now placed them into my Gimp fonts folder. Voilà! Directors Gothic 250 Semi-Bold Oblique now operational.

Whenever I answer one of the many Gimp Help threads that come along.
I often ask my self,
"What would I do if I had this issue".
9 times out of 10...
I can "usually" figure out a way around the issue to get things going.
