Hello all,

I'm using Linux Mint 17.1 MATE with a dark theme (vertex dark).
With this the curve of the curves tool can hardly be seen, whereas the histogram in the dock is perfect.

Does anyone know if the colours of the curves tool are configurable ? If so ... how? Or are they hardcoded?

Cheers

BTW: how do I mark a topic solved?

I suppose the answer will be the same as your previous post.

You could use the g'mic plugin. The colour curves there are very good. You have a choice of colorspace. For the value curve use HSV.

I think you need to go and edit your first post and change the subject to suit.

A cool way to enhance colors is to use convolution. Do a dup (total of three layers) and desaturate the top layer and set it to Grain extract. Merge down and then either set to Grain Merge or Overlay (for a lesser effect). Quick and simple. :)

The answer is yes, if you are prepared to edit the theme:

From the gtkrc file:
style "curveview"
{
  base[NORMAL] = "#00ffff"    # sets the colour of the background of the curve area
  text[NORMAL] = "#ff0000"    # sets the colour of the curve line
  bg[NORMAL]               = "#ff7F00"  # set colour of histogram bins
}

widget "*GimpCurveView*" style:highest "curveview" # styles the colour curve editing widget

Thank you very much Kevin.
That did the trick. What a feeling to use the curves tool, now!
