The video has pretty good coverage on my problem. I really can't figure out why this isn't working, any ideas?

This has been an ongoing issue,
that many people using GIMP have run into.

Perhaps this Youtube video link below,
will shed some light on this,
or whatever tablet issues anyone might be experiencing?

How to set up your Wacom tablet in Gimp (windows)

PS:
The linked youtube video above is a bit long,
which may be difficult for some to view.

First question, if you open the dialog Windows>Dockable dialog>Device status, is there only one device?

Hi all,

I don't mean to hijack the thread, but I am having the same exact issue. I am on Windows 10, with a Parblo A610 running the WinTab32 V8.0.2015.127 driver from the Parblo website.

To answer ofnuts question, I do have the tablet/pen device shown once I switch the Mode to screen, but it still functions as it does in the video posted by oBerry.

This video really doesn't help me. My device's UI looks nothing like any of that.

Sorry about this.
I was only thinking that something within the video might have helped.

Hi everyone,

I've discovered a fix for the issue which has plagued oBerry and I (and possibly others). It appears as the drivers for our tablets are not able to communicate properly with the 64 bit version of GIMP. We need to remove the 64 bit version of GIMP and install the 32 bit version of GIMP. To do this, you can use the standard GIMP installer for Windows and run it via a command line and append " /32" to the end of it.

It should look as follows: gimp-2.8.18-setup.exe /32

Make sure you're in the folder where the GIMP installer is located before executing the line above. In Windows you can accomplish this by holding down SHIFT then right-clicking in an empty white space within the folder. Within the Context menu click the "Open command window here" option.

For everyone who has a chinese made tablet that relies on the UC Logic drivers (Parblo, Ugee, Huion, Monoprice, etc.) we'll need to ask the manufacturers to release updated drivers that allow their products to function within 64 bit applications properly. :(
