Hello everyone!

I hope you're all enjoying your Xmas holidays

I currently have an issue with the brush and pencil tools, which do not draw on the only layer of my document (which is weird because the bucket does work).
Apparently it is a pretty common problem so I've tried many things but none of them worked.

I'd like to get something done by the end of the day, so I would be very grateful to anyone trying to help

Nothing wrong with the image itself (selection, layer boundary). Must be a Tool setting. Is the mode set to "Normal" and the opacity to 100% in the Tool options?

Yes the mode is set to "RGB", and the opacity of the brush is 100% as well ...

Did you try this common problem - using an empty clipboard as a brush

I had the same problem. Turned out All was set under the Select tab. I changed that setting to None (just below All) and both pencil and brush worked using the color set.
