In Preferences > Help System, Gimp shows the message:
"The user manual is not installed locally."

The local help files are installed at:
C:\Program Files\GIMP 2\share\gimp\2.0\help\en_GB

I set Preferences > Interface > Language to "English [en_GB]"
but that didn't seem to help. ;-)

It isn't a big deal, since I have placed a short-cut to the help files on my desktop; but, is there a way to "tell" Gimp where the local help files are located?

Any other advice about fixing this would be appreciated!

There are a couple of ways to fix.

or

try renaming

C:\Program Files\GIMP 2\share\gimp\2.0\help\en_GB
to
C:\Program Files\GIMP 2\share\gimp\2.0\help\en

Changing the directory name fixed it, thanks.

Thats the quick-n-dirty fix
