I know I am probably doing it wrong.

I occasionally use 2.8.6 which I installed a few years ago. The version I had included Liquid Rescale, the Wavelet stuff, and other things.

Seeing that 2.8.20 is the latest, I decided to install it. The version I downloaded from the usual place does not include those plug-ins.

I am guessing that this means they were inside the .app (this is OSX) and not in Application\ Support/GIMP where maybe they belonged.

This is temporarily fixed because I found different download from some guy in Germany (thanks!!) that includes them in 2.8.18. However, they are in the .app directory, so installing 2.8.20 just overwrites them again.

I have searched here and there, but haven't found the magic potion yet. Too many twisty little passages.

Any advice welcome.

I am not sure which plug-ins are included in Parthas McGimp version (for Mac) but you may want to give that a try.
