1. I have a wine glass image - layer1. I duplicate it and work on this for evermore - layer2. 2. Use the Path tool to select the glass+wine. Save path. 3. Clone the wine glass into a Path layer-3. 4. Now I use Path Dialog->Path-to-Selection and shear, flood fill, etc the selection, BUT how do i align it with the base image? The bottom of the glass moves out of alignment..
I must have skipped a step or not understood what he said..
(I subsequently massaged it with the perspective tool and kind of got it to fit..) is there a better way to do this? I'd like to be able to move a path on to a separate layer (just create a new layer and use the paths dialog to create a selection) but.. what if I had no perspective tool to finess things?
*subsequently - i got it to work.. I added a new Transparent layer and in the Paths toolbox, did the path-to-selection bit, then I SELECTED the new-path-layer and flood filled and moved the points to wherever - yay!* I'll let the post stay for future reference.
