GIMP Version: 2.8.22
Operating System: Mac OS
OS Version: 10.10
GIMP Experience: Basic Level

Gimp works great on linux and windows, but today I tried out the mac os version of gimp, and it performs very poorly. The gimp mac version is the worst version of gimp . The brush dynamics seem to be working such as pressure opacity et cetera, but you cannot draw nice smooth lines in gimp mac version with a wacom tablet, they come out very jaggy, the lines are very polygonal-ish, like a sloppy heptadecagon.
I tried gimp on both my hackintosh laptop and my real macbook, and the outcome is exactly the same on both.

Are there any people out there that do artwork with a wacom tablet in the mac os version with gimp experiencing this issue or perhaps know of a fix ? or maybe a different mac gimp version that works better?

Might be OSX, do not know, very happy using linux.

It is worth checking that you do not have snap-to-grid enabled

top line on - bottom line off

Does this also happen when you're using a mouse?

If you are not using it now, you could try a different version by http://www.Partha.com
Partha fixes many bugs in his releases. May be worth a try.

I’m using a Mac here and in 2.8.22 my Wacom draws lines very smoothly.
However, if I zoom in, in any way, it all gets jaggy, but I think that is normal because it’s a raster image.
The brush dynamics seem to be working also.
