GIMP Version: 2.8.14
Operating System: Linux
GIMP Experience: Basic Level


This morning the drop-down menu for layer-mode has changed. It now has a black background, making it difficult to see the options which are highlighted in orange when under the cursor. Have I accidentally changed a setting? What do I have to do to return it to its normal white background? Everything else appears perfectly normal.

Possibly impacted by a more general GTK/Gnome setting you changed recently....

Many thanks for your quick reply. I have not changed any settings recently. Last night everything was normal. I have re-installed Gimp and it is still the same.
However, there was an update to Ubuntu this morning - I didn't notice what it was updating.

At this point I'm lost!
