When I bend an object with the path tool, then I make "selection from the path" and I invert the selection to remove it, it happens that I see lines like these:

So to recover my cut object, instead of inverting the selection, I have to do "Ctrl X" and "Ctrl V".
Why are these weird lines sometimes?

Can you describe how you are bending an object (??? Gimp does not use objects) using the path tool?

It would be best if you posted a Gimp .xcf image with all paths and selections showing the problem. Sort of looks like you have shredded the image into strips? I do not know?

I did not keep the xcf file after cutting out, but as I had exported the path, I started again from the original image and I did not have these lines. Maybe a bug in my Gimp because I already had that the day before yesterday.

Edit: I add that the cut-out object was not in strips ...

Hi, When i make a selection then invert it i get the same thing, sometimes the screen shows no selection sometimes random lines like yours, I've just updated everything i can & reloaded Gimp 2.10.10 ?

Try Edit -> Preferences -> System Resources

Under Hardware Acceleration disable Use OpenCL



Restart Gimp, see if it makes a differnce.
