Can anybody help?

My car got hit, the van then drove off and my neighbour snapped this photo of the van leaving.
Any way to de-blur the numberplate?

I know it might be a long shot...

A very, very long shot. Not enough pixels. Is that the real size? Only 3MPx, most smart phone cameras can do a lot better... Was that an image sent as MMS or is it the raw image? Note that the expected original image would only have twice the definition, likely not quite enough either.

This is probably as good as you will get the image of the van. As ofnuts said 'not enough pixels'.

The number plate may end in 'CW'. Why not try some social networking and find out if it was delivering something to a neighbor?
Or post it on facebook and ask for help tracking it?

Tas has done a pretty good job. You wont get it any better unless you take it to CSI ;) or other fantasy detective show

I think that you should go to the police. With that photo and the time and date, there are probably other cameras in your area that picked up the van. Traffic cameras are great for picking up plate numbers.
