see the both files where i have placed the text inbetween the lines of the runway..... - in opposite to the other example...

is there any help!?

As a starter, something like this?

I think it will be difficult to fit the text between the lines and still be legible. Unless you change the text. First thing is center the text, then adjust sizes.

This uses a plugin, ob-align.py that uses 2 paths see: viewtopic.php?f=23&t=12653

Takes a bit of practice so the attached xcf includes the text layer, the paths and the deformed text layer (text layer duplicated and then layer to image size) for you to play with.

I think you want the perspective transform. But the farther away the smaller the text, so your top lines will always get too small to be legible.

(note how the sides of the transform are aligned to the road lines)

hello dear Rich 2005, hello dear ofnuts many many thanks for the quick reply and for all those great and inspiring ideas.

i like your work very much and i am glad that you encourage me to go on. I never thought that we can do such things with this image and GIMP

especially the idea how the sides of the transform are aligned to the road lines are interesting: Ofnuts you have created some lines into the picture.

i want to learn how to approach this results - there are some options that formerly did not know.

Above all - many thanks for your reply and for all the ideas. You made my day!!

greetings Apollo
;)

I didn't create them, these are the lines from the perspective tool.

I'd say the biggest problem with perspective transform is the blurring and jagginess of the bottom lines if your text layer is small and you stretch it much up.
Solution? Work with a bigger text so that you can do the perspective transform using downscale.

Simply use single layers of text, to have more control over how big or small it is.

hello dear Nidhogg hello dear Malvin

many thanks for your reply. This is a very very interesting advice -

- to use single layer (Malvin) and to turn it big so that i do not have to stretch it much up (Nidhogg).

Your ideas and tipps help me to fix the issues with blurring and jagginess
