Is it possible to port waifu2x to Gimp?

Probably, but it would require someone to write a python script to run the waifu2x executable. A better venue might be to request it through G'mic. This way it won't be limited to one OS. Or you can simply use Avisynth for your upscale with wafu2x. There is also a site somewhere I believe that will do it.

I did try "Shellpy" and add, it does open wifu2x but when its "exported" it does not import to Gimp. I am trying to get hold of G'mic, I want to translate it to swedish but still have not gotten a answer how to reach them. And yes, I do believe as you say, its great if it was not limited to Windows, I do use Ubuntu most of the time, but I also do use Windows, sadly...

I do belive it even does a better job than photoshops "Preserve Details 2.0"

Maybe they can implement one of the versions not tied to Nvidia.

I saw your other post on translations?
For gmic_gimp_qt these are in https://github.com/c-koi/gmic-qt code and just affect the gmic interface, what you get in gmic with Settings -> Language The filters remain as written. There is a bit at the end middle (post 20) of that thread about it.

Thank you rich2005, I have asked there now, also I did try the github link. Its wierd, I was looking on the github page before without finding the files, but there they are. So now they have the swedish translation so now its just to see if they use it or not.
