trying ro get my checkers plugin (using GTK) several strange (= not understood) messages occur
Had a (probably stupid) idea, to use patterns of the fields with numbers.
Creating 50 patterns calls for (Python) programming.
Succes! 50 patters, via a 'for i in range(1.51): ...' does the job.
Next the same approach with a picture of myself: again 50 patterns (from the same places, checkerboard fields with digits)
now filling a suitable size empty pictures with 'myself' patterns, than with the chackerdigit patterns but now filled in at the places where on the checkerboard fields without digits
==> the picture.

Done is it via functions in the Gimp-Python_console
would be nicer if the script could become a (normal) plugin ...
