List any relevant plug-ins or scripts:
Alt Drag

I installed Alt Drag for Windows in Gimp and it worked well. However, during start up of Gimp it appears and opens as an active program. Where should I install it where this will not happen?

Any help greatly appreciated.

I can not remember if Alt-drag comes as an installer or a zip. It can go anywhere and you can make a shortcut to the executable.

When you run it first time, it does make a config file, so you might need to do something like this to stop it auto-starting.

Is the Alt-Drag icon hidden? Can you click and get the icon as (1) If you can get that then a right click to bring up the menu (2) and maybe you have autostart enabled and need to disable it (3).

rich2005 is correct.

Also,
I would keep AltDrag separate from Gimp and run it as needed.
