Seamless Pattern - Help please

GIMP Version: 2.8.14
Operating System: Windows
GIMP Experience: New User

Hi guys,

Im trying to work this out, but I not getting anywhere

I have .PNG/JPG files, of a square pattern, normally when it gets printed to fabric for clothing, they make it into a seamless design

I am trying to make it into a seamless design myself, for some mockup products, but cant seem to get it into an actual seamless patter, when I use the product templates I just get tiles of the same design, if that makes sense

im using GIMP, can any help?

Scaled down to 400x400.

May I ask how you did that, ive got so many files to do and I cant even figure out how to do 1 yet

All that was done.
Was to scale the pattern down to 400x400.
