if I want to increase or decrease my brush size via my keyboard, I will not be able to do so since I switched to 2.10.14

can I check that somewhere or change it in preferences?!

Hi Gimper66,
In this video it shows how to adjust the brush size by the mouse.

krikor,thans for your quick response

I follow the tut. But Increase Brush Size is not in that dialog

I fear that the tut is ok for 2.8 but no longer satisfactory for the 2.10.14 version :( :(

Wrong search criteria use size

The keyboard shortcut for x10 increase / decrease shift-] and shift-[ certainly not working in Windows 10 / Gimp 2.10.14 I think this was reported as a bug but since it works in linux nothing happened.

The best way is re-assign the shift-] and shift-[ to some other key combination. Do you know how to do that ?

A little 2 minute video demonstration to change the brush size keyboard shortcut. https://youtu.be/xp1cAyxsoHE

Gimper66,
It is strange because I used this video with my gimp 2.10.12 and 2.10.14.

But ok, you can follow the Rich2005 video in which he teaches how to adjust the brush size using the keyboard. (Alt + [, Alt +]).

Yet another option, using the mouse:

This is the information I offered in my PM to gimper66,
In regard to this issue.

Double-Click, Mouse Wheel in Active Controllers.
This opens the Configure Input Controller dialog.

Look for Scroll Down and double-click it.
This opens the Select Controller Event Action dialog 'Scroll Down'.

Look for Tool's Size: Increase by 1 and double-click it.
This should set the scroll wheel, to increase brush size by 1 when scrolled down.

Use this same procedure as above to set the Scroll Up Action.
