Weird DPI problem: I create a NEW jpg page and it's 300 DPI, add a couple of elements that are also 300. Then I save the new page and ... it's 72 DPI. This has happened with multiple pages/ images. I've also tried changing the DPI with the Image > Print Size function - still 72. I've cleared out my GIMP and uploaded a new copy and it's still changing the DPI. I've been creating 300 DPI images for *years* and I can't understand what's going on. Does anybody have an idea?

Thanks in advance.

I believe it is this bug

https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gimp/issues/4194

Try updating to Gimp 2.10.18

rich2005: thanks for this answer. I'm actually on a version of 2.10 but I don't see how to change my profile? I will get my tech to update and see what happens.
