What the mouse is telling you is that the selection for move type doesn't exist or isn't on that layer. You have Path selected as the move option, so the question is, what do you want moved? Layer, image, selection, or path?

Hi confusedPeng. It seems that you have the "Move Path" option selected. Go to the Move tool option and select the first option "Layer".

Ahhhhh... thank you....Icon cleared(!) Now I can let the excedrin kick in & NOT move to Pinta.

If anyone wants to monetize their GIMP expertise, a series of Gimp Gotchyas on youtube (w verbose problems in titles) would make bank (dry chuckle)
