In the old photo draw, when you want to crop or cut something out, there is a shape tool. You can select the shape and cut it out. Shapes were a crown, a square, a ticket, a pic lol, and more. Is there a tool like this for gnu?

Thanks

No pre-made shapes per say, but you have a Path Tool and so can make any shape you want. You can make a bunch of them and export them as an .svg, which you can then import when you want them at any size.

You can use Path Shape Creator or ofnuts' shape paths tool, then convert the path to a selection and fill it however you like.

thank you. many questions.

When you import it back in, how do you use it? Say i have an image.. and i created a shape, of.. umm anything. a circle. Now i want to slap the circle on the image move it around, and then cut the circle out? I know thats the slection tool, lol, but you understand.

How would i do that with the svg?

Thank you.

How do i 'fill it' with the image? hence, i have an image, and i made a path of a game ticket, and i want to put the ticket on the image, and move it around till i find the perfect place, then cut it out and use it elsewhere?

I keep a folder of silhouette images that I use as my "shapes" for the path tool. You can use the magic wand or alpha to selection option to have the silhouette selected, depending on if the silhouette has an alpha channel or not. Then just save selection to a path, and then export the path to an svg in a folder of your choosing.

I use silhouette images, shape fonts and arakne-path-shape-creator.

edit, forgot the unicode to shapes using babelmap or gucharmap.

You could make your shapes using guides and paths then when you have what you want cut it out. Probably could only do one at a time like this unless you start with a large canvas but still you would have to cut + 'paste as a new image' for each one.
If you then make your shape/s into a brush/es you could make it what ever size you want after.

You haven't mentioned if any of the previous options were any good.
Anyway just in case. You could download a 'ding bat' font https://www.dafont.com/theme.php?cat=710&page=1 There are 14 pages and most of these are free for personal use. There should be an option to turn your fonts once used into a brush. (Initiate text, copy then 'paste as brush')
Then you can go ahead and make your shapes as large or small as you like.
