Where is GIMP?

GIMP Version: 2.10.12
Operating System: Windows
OS Version: Widows 8
GIMP Experience: New User

I know it's already been asked, but I downloaded GIMP because I'm wanting to get back into picture editing for my book covers, but I can't find it on my computer anywhere. I have 2 download files for it from trying to download from different links suggested on this forum in the past and that's it. I have used the installer twice, but there are no shortcuts or anything, not even in my program files. When I search it in users, all that comes up is the two installers. I used to have GIMP on my old computer, but someone else downloaded and set it up for me. I've never had a problem like this after downloading something before, and I'm really not sure how to fix it. Sorry to sound like a broken record, but I'm open to any ideas. I just want to get back to picture editing.

C:\Program Files\GIMP210\bin\gimp-2.10.exe

Windows 8 Is this a 32 bit Windows or 64 bit? Might be a problem with 32 bit Windows

However. Make sure you get the Gimp 2.10.12 Windows installer from www.gimp.org

gimp-2.10.12-setup-3.exe (file size 235,281,024 B)

If you want a desktop shortcut. Use the customise option in the installation procedure.

Same problem. So I reinstalled and found it was placed here;
C:\Users\yourname\AppData\Local\Programs\GIMP 2\bin
Try that!

Only if you use the "Install for me only" option.

Otherwise it will install under C:\Program Files\
