I want to know how to create a black and white displacement map with GIMP, if anyone knows which filters to use it would be very helpful.

ps: I want to create displacement maps to use in Blender.

A displacement map is just a picture where the value of some pixel tells how to move the corresponding pixel in the target image. Usually you need an image for the X moves and an image for the Y moves.

As such any random image can be used as a displacement map and all paint tools can be used.

Now, if you want a specific displacement, to be in sync with a specific image then this would narrow the possibilities.
