 Post subject: Can't get marching ants to show (selection boundary display)

GIMP Version: 2.10
Operating System: Mac OS
OS Version: 11.2.3
GIMP Experience: Basic Level


I can't get the marching ants to display when I select something. I've got "Show Selection" enabled. I've tried reseting the settings and deleting and reinstalling GIMP. I only installed GIMP on this computer recently and I'm not sure if the marching ants ever had worked.

Known problem with BigSur: https://www.gimp-forum.net/Thread-is-bi ... ue-rsolved

In the meantime a work-around is to use the quickmask or the selection editor to check your selection.
