Hope someone can help please
Problem ...I've followed a tutorial several times very accurately and had success previously but now when I reach the end instead of the active image being a floating layer the Alpha channel appears to be the floating one when I use the move tool.
I fear I have messed up some control somewhere. I installed from 2.10.22 to 2.10.30 in an attempt to resolve the problem but to no avail. Any answers please would be appreciated.

Don't know if it's a bug or not. It appears to effect alpha channel layers using blending modes other than "Normal". Strange....

I think this is what raysalaugh is saying. Open the attached .xcf and try moving the "blend" layer without the background layer visible.

I believe this was intensional in order to only overlay blending modes over alpha.
