GIMP Version: 2.10.30
Operating System: Linux
OS Version: manjaro
GIMP Experience: Basic Level
In GIMP 2.8 and lower, I would click the
Crop tool, make a selection, adjust, and click within the selection; The image and canvas would be cropped. The text at the bottom of the GIMP window still says, "Click or press Enter to crop".
In GIMP 2.10, when I click the crop selection, the canvas remains the same size, so I need to go to the
Layers dockable dialog, right-click the layer, and select
Layer to Image Size.
I do not see an option on the
Crop tools dockable dialog to change the behavior. Reading the
manual, I see
Crop Selection and
Crop Content.
I'd like to go back to one step (2.8) if possible, instead of the two step (2.10). How does a user
crop an image and canvas together?
