List any relevant plug-ins or scripts:
addonCollectionManager-3.0

List any ERROR messages you received:
activating/deactivating not completing

Today I had a surprise.
I wanted to update my active resources under gimp 2.10.36 samj,
using the addonsCollectionManager-3.0, as I did in all previous installations.
Activating seems not to work (the function remains suspended/blocked and I have to close it).
The details provided by samj when released inform that this version uses now QT6 (the previous used QT5). IDK if this change plays a role.
Any help is appreciated.

note: Gimp runs well with all tested plug-ins not requiring resources like patterns, etc;
scripts are not working because it's a "resource" to be activated.
I refer to plug-ins (in .python) and scripts (in .scm) additional to the standard set present in Gimp release itself.

If someone has a similar environment (Windows 10, gimp 2.10.36, samj pack, use of addonsCollectionManager) could gently double-check whether it's only me or has the same problem?

As you know I am a linux user and have used that plugin since it came out. I have plenty scripts only used occasionally, not worth cluttering up the menus permanently. I normally use an .ini file but without one.

I was looking at the samj Gimp 2.10.36 for someone else so I still have it in a Win 10 (VirtualBox)

I am sure you know all this, in the Preferences folder: There is the plugin, (1) With a scripts_storage folder (2) containing zipped scripts (3)

..and does it work - this the shape paths script

Definitely not a given that it works first time, but it does work. I needed a couple of re-starts.
First thing to try is delete the Preferences -> pluginrc file to force a re-scan of the plugins. It should not be necessary but you never know.

Another one. If there is an existing .active file in the scripts_storage folder delete it.

Thanks for your double-check in my save environment and the detailed attachments.
Since I started using samj's packs I used also ofnuts' addonCollectionMnager.
Even if the location of my folders is different from yours, the logic is the same.
At each new installation I reset all the .active filesx

..and does it work - this the shape paths script

Thanks a lot for your double-check and detailed info.
This for me is the warranty that the problem lies in my setup.
I did what I always did in my samj's packs installation (I always used them with the very useful ofnuts' aCM):
- cleaned all .active files present in each resource type group
- then added ofnuts' aCM into the new samj's pack plugins folder
- started to re-activate those resources I need
but clearly I did something wrong, because the activation of any single resource did not run (remained "appended").
So I wanted to be sure that in another user's envoronment similar to mine, thinks are going well.
After your info I will re-check and re-do what I have to do in a better way.
Thanks again.

Thanks for the clarification, I had some doubt because of the new gimp+QT6, and I'm glad to know that aCM does not use QTn, hence it remains completely valid.
As I said in my previos answer, I will double-check my steps.

PROBLEM SOLVED, thanks
I did change my way (to avoid repeating something wrong) and copied the resources active on the previous version into the new one.
Tried also to add a new one: OK, it works.
Thanks again for your help, Rich and Ofnuts.
