Greetings,
Pls, I need some help getting the "blur tool" working.
Not Filters/Blur, just the tool in the toolbar.

Smudge works fine for me, but not the BlurTool.
I have a cloud image that I want to Blur the edges with.
Thanks...Vernon

All you need to do is click the tool blur/sharpen, and use the brush to blur any part of the image. :)

Also, try raising the "Rate" slider to a higher number, depending on the brush type you use, because smaller hard brushes need a lower rate than say large soft brushes do.

Yes, that is what i am doing.
I also clicked on 'reset to default values',
but still 'Blur' has no effect on my image.

Blur tool cannot work in index color mode. You need to convert to RGB and then it will work. Your PNG is in index mode. :)

By the way, here's an attempt. Did texturize and fake smudge as well as selective blur. :)
