You can make frames with your filters > map > wrap bitmap (bucket)
http://sourceforge.net/projects/gimp-wrapmap/files/

More can be found here along with a look at the scripts results.

Yes, the script that Rod added above is MUCH EASIER to use, and it works very well. My tutorial just allows for a mitered moulding and milled look.

thanks Mahv. geeze, where do I find it. just went down the whole list under filters. I wish there was a way to keep these filters and plug-in thangs all together without searching for them all the time. Then if you don't use it for a while, you have to go searching again.

Script-Fu/Decor/Add Frame on the script Rod provided, mine is in FX Foundry/Image Effects, so check there first before adding this one.

Here's a frame using bevel, metallic look, and glossy alpha to logo.

I found it in FX-Foundry but I get an error when I try to use it. I opened a plain white layer then tried to run it with its default settings.

If you loaded the other script, remove it first, then try again.

Molly open the plugin browser under the help menu and type in the script name or part of it.
That will show you where the filter is in the menu. :)

ok thanx guys, I will look to see what I did. go to go look in my downloads, I forgot the name of the script It was mats and frames wasn't it. I only have the one in my scripts so there is none to remove Just checked my filters folder, it is in there but doesn't show up when I type in in cuz isn't that only good for plug-ins? This is a scm.

Yes, scripts with the same procedure names will conflict, if you have both in your scripts folder. The unpleasant part of removing them is finding them, sometimes its easy and painless, other times its a major task. In Linux I just use grep, but that's another topic for another time.

Filename was mats-and-frames.scm

What is the error msg you get when you try to use it?

My mistake Molly you are correct about the SCM's not showing in the plugin browser. :)
Perhaps one should be made to reflect script positions in the menus?
Is that possible?
