GIMP Version: 2.6.11
Operating System: Windows
OS Version: XP - SP3
GIMP Experience: Beginner Level

I am working with a church calendar and am printing the calendar to a pdf and then importing into gimp, but when I import the calendar its resolution is terrible. All the letters are blurry and not the same crispness as if I was just printing the calendar from the calendar program. Am I doing something wrong when I am saving it?

Welcome to GC Sarah. :welcome Fraid I don't know much about PDFs - isn't it possible to copy the images etc to the clipboard then paste them into a new Gimp document? Wish I could help, sorry. :(

I was thinking the program you used to create the calendar may not have saved the PDF file with embedded vector.
If it's saved as bitmap format or pixel it will stretch when imported into Gimp as a PDF and look funny.

Thanks everyone. It all worked out, when I imported the pdf file into gimp there is a place to change the resolution. So I got it! The calendar program is calendar creator 10. Again Thanks!
