Are there any plans to make GIMP files thumbnail-viewable in windows?

I'm almost ready to uninstall my photoshop, but not being able to view .xcf files in thumbnail is a real pain.

Also, can anybody recommend a program similar to ACDSee that can open .xcf files? ACDSee can open .psd files, in case you didn't know.

GIMP rocks!

Let me clear up what i mean...here is 2.7.1 with tabs at the top of the image window.Only 2.7.1 has this option making it much easier to go back and forth between either xcf files or images you are currently working with.

Sorry if there was any confusion about this.
