I'm using the same version in Windows and you have to open Gimp with your pen, not your mouse to force it to recognize the tablet.

you can not have the same version in Gimp on Windows because this is native to Mac

Sorry I meant I also have 2.6.11. You might have to look in edit>preferences at your input devices. Find your tablet then change "disabled" to "Window"

Do you know if it is a common problem in Mac OS?
If in your input devices configuration only shows CorePointer o VirtualPointer and also does not show your mouse, perhaps it is because gtk was compiled without "--with-xinput=yes" option.
If other devices are shown, close GIMP and then try to delete the "devicerc" from your GIMP local configuration. Open GIMP using your tablet.

If you're referring to delete "devicerc" file, you have to find out where GIMP saves your local configuration on Mac OS, I have no idea.

I was able to solve my problem, download a new version Gimp 2.8.2 and works perfectly.

Thanks for your time and dedication to my problem.
