In a .psd file, how do I determine the exact font of the text in a given layer?
The .psd file originates from Photoshop, I believe.

Alas no way with gimp ,that may even fail to open psd if are text layer in

Anyway once you have exported the text as bitmap (as image ) there are online services that usually may identify the font used as http://www.myfonts.com/WhatTheFont/

but anyway you need to export the txt layer first (i.e as png or jpg )
