Hey! I have a problem with the pattern function. :gimp

I have this pattern but the position of this pattern is not the way i want it.

I uploaded a picture. Both imagnes have the same width and height

Thanks for the xcf but it doesn't help much to id the problem.
I think it went wrong when you were saving image as a pattern.


I made one out of attached image and converted to GIMP pat.
Try it and tell us if it still fills with incorrect tiling.

i want a pattern of (280x210) to fin exacty as a background in a 280x210 selection. I know I can just put "open pattern as file" and the problem is over... but My question is ¿Can I move the position of my background pattern(like under adobe fireworks)?

Why do you need to use pattern for that is not clear to me. Why not just scale the image you made your pattern from, to required 280 x 210 and made it a background for the selection?
