I'm trying to paint with the toolbox and fg/bg color dialogues open. If I tab to hide them, then tab to show them again, the fg/bg color dialogue jumps from where I had to a spot beneath the Toolbox. Is there a way to make it stay where it's supposed to be? I've tried "save window positions now" but that doesn't do it.

Do you have a screen shot of where you like the dialog?
Are you using Gimp in single window mode?

I've got a dual monitor setup. I want the color picker in the top left of the Cintiq and the Toolbox on the right of the Cintiq. Gimp is not in single window mode (need to have some windows on the other monitor).

Does this happen when you open the color picker from Windows | Dockable Dialogs?

Putting GIMP into single window mode, then switching back to multi-window mode, fixed the problem. The color picker has stayed where it's supposed to be for a few days.

That's good sign, hopefully everything continuous to work well for you.
