I accidentally uninstalled Gimp 2.6.8 and now i have Gimp 2.6.11, which I do not like. Can anyone please give me the link to download Gimp 2.6.8?

it is not there, it says go to the ftp.gimp.og to get it but it says download 2.6.11, still need help.

Are you having problems with GIMP 2.6.11?

You might want to consider sticking with GIMP 2.6.11, which contains enhancements and bug fixes not included in GIMP 2.6.8.

2.6.11 is without a doubt better than 2.6.8 as pointed out.

Much better in my opinion.
You may want to consider also downloading and installing gimp-2.7.1
Single window mode
Layer Groups
Dynamic Brush Dialog (create your own settings and save them)
Multi Image Tabbing on Image Window

It is a non-production version though, just to give you a heads up. =)
it is fun to play with though.
