Ok here is one for you...LOL I make round images...like the bottlecap type..I want to do one with say a red solid background..then I'm thinking a layer on top that is a different color but curvy..does that make sense? The curve will be about in center of circle across. Does anyone know where I can find a tutorial for something like this?

Fill the selected one first. Then make a new layer then make a selection in the space that is left, then fill that...

Video removed.

Micki, can you post a screenshot of what you have so far? It would be most helpful.

CTRL = adding nodes/points
Shift + CTRL = delete nodes/points
Shift = making nodes/points symmetrical (curve evenly on both sides)

I'm working on a text tutorial, they just take longer to create. Videos, IMHO, are only good for quick stuff.

Grab your select by color tool :fuzzsel - click in the area you want to color - this selects the area
Now just select a color you like with the color tool, :fg2bg and Edit/Fill with foreground color.

You can also fill with patterns or gradients.
Have fun and hope that helps you out.

You are welcome. The bezier tool is very tricky to get on to and takes a lot of practice. Posted below are a few I did with this tutorial of Jolie's
As you can see, I still need lots of practice but this is a good one to practice on.
