I'm pretty sure 2.8 has a function to smooth the stroke. I know guides affect a drawn line though I don't understand why.

Thank you both. I had this happen before and it was something very simple, the dynamics were on, so I turned them off and it still did it. I will try it again.

I tried it again and changed the dynamics to several different modes and it still happens. It is like my arm has palsy and the line keeps jumping into bumps.

Having "Dynamics off" if OK. But check the "Smooth stroke" option and tweak the parameters if necessary.

Last time this happened to me, I had created some guide lines and had left the "snap to Guide" option ticked under the view menu.

Hi molly,
Also you might want to check under the View menu to see that 'Snap to Grid' is not checked too.

Hi Erisian, not sure if this was a question or not, but didn't want you to feel ignored ;) Guides effect a line drawn because "Snap to Guides" under the view menu is on by default. :)

Thank you fluffy. I wouldn't have felt ignored because this wasn't a question but thanks anyway. :)

Dats the one fluffy. I knew it was easy but just forgot what the easy was. You are really good with the search feature.
