Hello,

I'm new to gimp and I'd like to trace an outline of a skyline and then save that outline only. I've used the path tool and the stroke path. I have it all completed, but now I just want to either

a) remove the background image, but keep the black lined path or
b) copy and paste out the black lined path

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks!

Pat

You could create an new transparent layer [Layer] [New Layer] and stroke the paths while it is selected. If you drew paths then those paths are probably still available from the [Windows] [Dockable Dialogs].

THANK YOU! Easy fix, I know, but I had so much trouble figuring out the answer. I appreciate your feedback.
