No Colors...

GIMP Version: 2.8.4
Operating System: Windows
OS Version: Windows 8
GIMP Experience: Intermediate Level

I have a couple commissions to do, art ones, and when I try and load a certain base, I can't draw in color. I switch the color, nothing. Help?

Do you have it in RGB mode

It also makes some bright colors more dark. What's RGB?

You need to be much more explicit with the explanation of the issue in order for any of us to really know what's going on with your project, so we can give you some kind of solution to your problem at hand.

In the screenshot, the title bar shows that the image is color-indexed

Yes you're correct, that would have to be changed and is the reason for this color issue as presented. :bigthup
