that at least you have an alternative: AltWindowsDrag

I don't see that alternative working. I'd rather have the scroll bar.

Below are links to both...
You can install either of them to help resize the BRL dialog.

I got the scrolling bar working. I had to put (2) next to the file since there was one with the same name.

Is there a size limit to this script working? It has not worked on a large circle I was trying to use it on. The circle was about 400 px square.

maybe you tried to change the default Flat Bevel (first option) to Round2 Bevel.
This could be the cause.

The only thing that might be the cause of a size limit, would be the amount of RAM your system has and the number of available cores your CPU has.
Other then that, there isn't really any size limits that I can think of.

to support my previous statement:
- created a simple 300x300 single colour image
- run BRL with defaults (flat bevel) = got the result in 3 seconds
- run BRL changing to round2 bevel = got the result in 85 seconds !!!

thus, check whether you used round2-bevel....

I cant get the scroll bar to install. But I found that if I click on the stretch image off and back to on,and hit enter on the keyboard, it works pretty good

I think we have been here before - I have just tested a 400x400 pixel circle with a Round 2 Step Bevel BRL and it took about 30 seconds on my machine.

As advised previously in this thread, some of my BRLs go for 2 hours on large images - I believe that any restrictions with size are in the machine not in the script.

I tend to agree.
The more Ram you have installed along with a faster CPU, the quicker things will render.
I recently replaced my old Intel Core 2 Duo CPU, with a Quad Core CPU and have seen much faster renders when using BRL.
Also my Motherboard limits me to 8GB, but if I had 16GB of RAM installed, things would render even faster then they do now.
Finding out how much RAM your Motherboard supports and topping it off, would be one way to have better render times. Adding a faster CPU will also make render times quicker.

nevertheless performance is very much related to the first option (flat or round2); did you try a comparison OMG and Wallace?

I tested a 400x400 circle with a Flat Bevel, 14 seconds and Round 2 Bevel, at just over 38 seconds.

Round 2 Bevel have always taken longer to render on my machine.
With the older Intel Core 2 Duo installed and 8GB of Ram, it use to take about a minute and a half.
Now with the newer quad core cpu installed with the same 8GB of Ram, it took 38 seconds to render.

I'm also using an older generation Intel quad core cpu, due to my 10 year old motherboard's socket and Bios limitations.
As well as the motherboard's RAM limitations, of only being able to install the older and slower DDR2 RAM.

I'm only guessing, but if I quadrupled the image size to 1600x1600, it may well take over 7+ minutes to render using a Round 2 Bevel on my PC.

I was using the Round 1 bevel with the clear gem map. It worked just find on a smaller brush dot, but when I used the round/oval selection button to make a very large circle, it didn't just sit there, it just gave me a white circle with a black background, and there were errors listed over on the error list in the data box (forget what it's called, where you can click to see layers, paths, etc. Then when I tried to use the edit button to delete BLR, nothing happened. I am guessing it was my little machine, only 4 GB of ram. My computer has been acting up, I get the dreaded beach ball of death these days, even for simple things.

So today I tried the flat bevel on brl and it worked, so I tried the round 1, and today it worked. Strange.Image

It might be a good idea to do a scan of your system for viruses and malware,
using Malwarebytes Anti-Malware, as well as RogueKiller's Antimalware tool and any other scan you can do using whatever security software you may have/use.
Just to be sure that you don't have something attached to your computer lurking in the background,
that could be interfering with the system's memory/RAM.
You can also run the Malicious Software Removal Tool.
You can find this tool by typing mrt in the Windows Search Box on the start menu or taskbar, then open then tool and do a Full Scan.
Microsoft releases a new version of the Malicious Software Removal Tool every second Tuesday of each month.
MSRT is updated in Windows with Windows Update KB890830.
You can also download and install MSRT for 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64) Windows.

*Download Link To The MSRT Package*

You may also want to run Windows Updates to see if there are any updates that you missed.
I'm not trying to alarm you,
it's just a precautionary measure, because of what you've described.
If you don't have the programs I mentioned above.
You google search for Malwarebytes Anti-Malware and RogueKiller's Antimalware tool.
Then download and install the free versions of each of these programs.

I think Wallace is right, sounds like you have Malware

Thanks Molly.
I wouldn't say it's "state of the art", but it's the best my computer is ever going to get.
Given it's age, motherboard and bios limitations.
I've basically polished my turd of a computer the most I can and it's not going to get any shinier. :hehe

This works really good for doing art deco metal effects. It took a while to get the right map balls how I want them but it was fun playing around with them
I am still trying to figure out a way to make metallic looking colors

I noticed something interesting, while making metal looking images. It looks better if you click the view on the copy image (black) or maybe enlarge it by 1 or two
