I have BRL but I have the .scm script. I wish it had the scrollbar but it doesn't. I tried the exe file a while back with Gimp2.10.10 and I had the same outcome.. unable to scroll. Has this issue been remedied? I have Windows 10 64 Bit.

I believe that Samj has put out a Gimp build,
which incorporates the scrolling interface for large dialog's.
However,
I can't recall if it was portable 2.8 or what version it was.
You'll need to check out what Gimp builds Samj has to offer.

As always, there is still the Alt Drag script for Windows.
If you're on a Mac,
this functionality comes native to the OS.

Also check here on Gimp Learn

Another place to check is here: alt-drag and non-scrolling plugins

Hi mackenzieh,

I'm running gimp 2.10.10 - Windows 10

I finally got a scroll bar for BRL from this link at gimplearn...I downloaded Pat's #4 post & it works for me..

Same link as Wallace suggested.... :bigthup ...

https://gimplearn.net/viewtopic.php?t=478&p=2852#p2852

Thanks Wallace and FlutteringBy. I will head over to GimpLearn and download it.

Edit: I checked out Tim's version of the BRL scrollbar for the py file and on page two is where he says that the scrollbar doesn't seem to work with python scripts/plugins. https://gimplearn.net/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=478

Both still don't scroll. The scm file doesn't include the scrollbar either.

I also checked out Alt drag link that Wallace posted: viewtopic.php?f=9&t=13714#p186121
and downloaded the gimpfu.py from Skinny house but now I'm not sure if it works with the BRL scm version or were to install it.

The MLBevel Reflect 2.0 works but it lacks what the BRL scm version has. I'd prefer the scm version which has what I need expect the option to scroll.

mackenzieh,

I put the gimpfu.py file in \AppData\Roaming\GIMP\2.10\plug-ins - make sure that gimp is closed when you put the file in...

Now when you open gimp, an image, BRL, you should see the scrollbar...

I'm using a laptop & have found that I have to reset the BRL window each time I use it, by dragging down from the top to make the window smaller so I can move the smaller window up to see the Okay button at the bottom...

Good luck,

I did what you said and I don't see a scrollbar in order to see the other options. I see the scrollbars that were already included with the plugin.

If I'm correct,
I think it only works on python.exe plug-in's and not Script-Fu.
You may need to use the ALT-Drag Windows Script for Script-Fu.

I have ML Bevel Reflect 2.0 and that works since it is an exe file. Is there a scriptfu scrollbar for MLBevel Reflect? Maybe that's what it needs.

I believe I tried the scriptfu before in gimp 2.10 and it didn't work.

Yes,
this seems to be an issue with Script-Fu and Gimp 2.10.

That's why I suggested using the ALT-Drag script for Windows .
This script runs in the background of Windows,
when it's launched.

What folder should Alt Drag be housed in?
This is where they want it to go: C:\Users\macke\AppData\Roaming\AltDrag\
Does it matter where it goes?

Mackenzieh, What version of Gimp (regular or portable) and what Operating system are you using Win 10, etc. Where did you put the gimpfu.py file?
Do you need a scrolling script for .scm or .py files or both?
Also, make sure you do not have two of the same program or it will not work even if it is the correct one.
