GIMP Chat :: Bevel Reflect Logo V1.6

What folder should Alt Drag be housed in?
This is where they want it to go: C:\Users\macke\AppData\Roaming\AltDrag\
Does it matter where it goes?

Mackenzieh, What version of Gimp (regular or portable) and what Operating system are you using Win 10, etc. Where did you put the gimpfu.py file?
Do you need a scrolling script for .scm or .py files or both?
Also, make sure you do not have two of the same program or it will not work even if it is the correct one.

Try:
Remove your new gimpfu.py from the plug-ins folder.

Put the new gimpfu.py in the systems Python folder. That is where it is supposed to go.

c:\Program files\GIMP 2\lib\gimp\2.0\Python

The gimpfu.py is to get scrolling for .py files

For .scm files:

Place your scriptfu.exe in the systems plug-in folder.

c:\Program files\GIMP 2\lib\gimp\2.0\Plug-ins

Using the scrolling plugin (script-fu) in Gimp 2.10x is a very bad idea as it will break other scripts that you'll use. Don't say you weren't warned.

Mackenzieh, I have found that on my computers that I need an additional plug-in besides the Script-fu.exe. Place it in the same system plug-in folder as the Script-fu.exe. It contains additional stuff for scrolling.

C:\Program Files\GIMP 2\32\lib\gimp\2.0\python

Mackenzieh, where did you find the Python folder?
The gimpfu.py that comes with your program installation does not have the additional commands for scrolling. Remove that gimpfu.py and replace it with the amended one that has the commands needed.

Why won't you use the ALT-Drag script for windows?
You'll be able to move the dialog around,
so that you can use it all.

It also works on Win10,
because I use it.

Note:

I would keep it on the desktop, for quick access, but where you keep it, is up to you. I also would only use it when needed for Gimp. One other thing about this script. It interferes with most of the ALT Key Shortcuts in Gimp.

Pat, The version of Gimp I am using is Gimp 2.10.10. I downloaded it from gimp.org. The OS I have is Windows 10. I put the gimpfu file in the plugins folder.. check out the screenshots I left. I would like the scrolling script for .scm since it is a script fu. The MLBevel Reflect 2.0 works fine, no problem.. it is the scm version that I have trouble with, as well as Logo Tool Box, Bling Text Logo, and EnviroLogo. They all require scrolling.

I've tried this once before and it failed it failed because this version is for gimp 2.8.14.

Best regards to GnuTux. Your great idea (and writing the source code) has always worked very well for me (after proper compilation). I guess you could always add the "script-fu" to your Plugin folder and just rename it to "script-fu.off" so that it won't load. When you need it, just rename it back to script-fu. I don't know if it would work, but you can test it out....

I only use it when I use the BRL, EnviroLogo, & Logo Tool Box. How would I disable it, if I had to? Also, do I need these shortcuts on my desktop?
