Anmal - thanks, I really appreciate your words.

Its been raining hard here for 2 days so I have been forced to keep learning more about Ofnuts path tools and what you can do with them ...

Image

... even used a brush to stroke some raindrops into selected paths in the pattern ...

Image

... just so many options and I have still got 'decorate' and 'shapes' add on options to check out yet.

:gimp and so do its script and plug-in writers :jumpclap

Issabella, Jazzon, Pat625 - thank you, just so good that 'having fun' is not taxed yet!!

Pat ... another tut? Possibly but that means I need to remember what I actually did to get the end results

Another wet day, so some more learning/experimenting, this time with Ofnuts path shapes/decorating plug-in ...

ofnuts: You should! I'm new here and you've already stolen almost a week worth of sleep!

oldmangrumpy: That last one is gorgeous in deed (they're all great but that one I love!)
And I keep forgetting to say this to you: It's not the button holes that worry me, it's the shrinking toes!

It is under images and should be at the bottom of the list like shown on this screen shot

If you don't already have the script download this link below and add it to your user/plug-ins
http://sourceforge.net/projects/gimp-pa ... s/scripts/
If you are using Linux, make sure you allow the script to you permissions.

Better give a link to my download directory on SourceForge, because this version could become obsolete.

You should have 2 path.
One starting path and one ending path.
If you use either path as both the starting as well as the ending path.
It won't stretch, but just duplicate the paths.

For example:
You have a path named "AAA" and a second path named "BBB".
You then set the starting path as "AAA" and also the ending path as "AAA".
Doing this will not produce intermittent paths between path "AAA" or path "BBB".
It will produce a duplication of the path "AAA".

I found it odd that older paths not even associated with the image were displaying in my menu options when running the plugin. Needless to say, GIMP is updated to 2.8.18 on my laptop. Problem solved.

In the auto-generated dialog you get everything... this isn't under the control of the script/plugin.

I've enjoyed reading through this informative thread with interesting outcomes from everyone.

Thank you for your great plugins Ofnuts.

So using gimp 2.10 I've been playing with ofn-path-inbetweener.py stroke-visible-paths-0.6.py and ofn-export-layers.py

Results so far all made from the same two star shaped paths, one big and one small and with rotations of 72 degrees (360/5).

Thanks. Currently working on an upgrade to stroke-visible-paths to use the line line-mode stroke API. Should give cleaner/sharper results.
