Cool stuff ofnuts; just downloaded it but don't have time now since I'm about to be off for work again.

As a side note, whatever happened to your feather path project? viewtopic.php?f=11&t=8005

Well, as its name implies the script is looking for visible paths.

Will add a "lylejk" check :)

Edit: v0.2 available at the usual place.

Whoops; OK ofnuts. I do have an excuse though. Did not sleep when I got back from work and just tried this before I hit the sack for 3 hours. Need more sleep but my hunger kept me awake the past 40 minutes. lol

Hunger sufficed; will digest just a little to hit the sack again. ;)

:)

Also, if you only have one path (visible; that's what I had original since now I remember it was visible; just all merged), it gives you this error too. Program works if you do not merger multiple paths. :)

After playing with it somewhat I did some improvements to the script:
  1. Improved performance
  2. more undo friendly
  3. added a stretch setting to allow for non-linear intervals (usful for animation)
  4. added a "guide path" feature to that the intermediate path doesn't need to follow a straight line

The guide path feature in action:

Two paths (blue) plus a guide (red) (the position of the guide is mostly irrelevant, only the shape counts):

Script at the usual place.

That's a most excellent script. Thanks Ofnuts! Seems like gimp is turning into Illustrator.

Just following ofnut's example Molly. Again, I need to re-learn how to stroke by gradient color again. lol

First two attempts with 'guide path' put together - a 'bold move' with endless possibilities. Thank you Ofnuts for the new features. I need to explore them further!

Doesn't like me or there is something wrong with my gimp. I have found the location of the script and made paths to run the path inbetweener but I get an error and it wont run. Have tried a couple times now. When it does run I get a lot of layers but nothing looks to have happened on the original image.

path-inbetweener doesn't add layers to the image, it adds paths. Any specific error messages?

Actually I put this in the wrong thread  ofnuts. No I didn't.
I'll see if I get them again. I have tried it a few times now. No error messages but I can show you what I get!
