In the Post subject: Here are a couple of frame transitions I just did http://gimpchat.com/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=17423&sid=93161ba7e5cf60bf062a9fce658e5247#p239265 Trandoductin presented very interesting effects for video. Since Gimp supports the webp format very well, you can use it instead of gif. It's the perfect format for small presentations/slideshow. With very good examples of the Tin Tran code, I combined it into one of its three plugins: Fade Frame Plug-in https://gimplearn.net/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=2369&sid=cd6929e9f014606b69ce34aac81dc6f9 Slider Animation Script for GIMP (Swipe Animation) https://gimplearn.net/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=1037&hilit=slider Rename Layers Script For Animated .gifs animation https://gimplearn.net/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=72&p=4243&hilit=rename+layers#p4243 I have also added three other effects as an example: - Cubism+Fade - Pixelize+Fade - Video+Fade but they need old plugins (with Gimp 2.8.22: cubism.exe, pixelize.exe, video.exe) that are available in the thread (thanks to Pat625): viewtopic.php?f=9&t=17321#p237761 You can use the IrfanView 4.52 program (for Windows) to play as animation webp files: https://www.irfanview.com/plugins.htm ps. The extension webp is not allowed. - only gif

MareroQ, I think this is very very nice! I will download and be ready to try this when I get my computer back from "Geek Squad". The one I am using now is old, a 32 bit, and very finicky! |

Generally I like doing transitions in a video editor. It would be cool if anyone could make a decent page turn transition like this one though. Attachment: page_turn2.gif [ 1.08 MiB | Viewed 10334 times ] |

Gimp does have a page curl plugin. I'm sure it's possible. |

@Racer-x I am sure that there is already a plugin to achieve such (similar) effect. I am looking for - but I have not found yet. I thought it was a MathMap expressions - but I think I'm wrong. At the moment I found only another efects and added to ver.2 ("interactive" because it does "not-interactive" give libpango error - in Gimp 2,10,5 32bit Win Vista) My animation presets (Mathmap\expressions\Animation\*.mm) in the attachment [Slideshow v.2.zip]. Maybe someone else has interesting and share them here? @Rod Thanks for the indication - but the curl in Gimp does not offer a lot of options (there are more pspi 8bf plugins - but they are not free).

Ver.2 Add efect: - Slider Bar(from Top to Bottom), - Ripple+Fade, - MathMap: Angular Transition 1, Angular Transition 2, Radial Transition, Horizontal Curtain, Vertical Curtain, Zoom and Rotate. Add option: - Type of Fill for Slider: FILL-FOREGROUND, FILL-BACKGROUND, FILL-WHITE, FILL-TRANSPARENT, FILL-PATTERN, - Delay START/END Frame (they should usually be displayed longer than the change itself/efect). - Group Layers/frames (useful for combining more photos), - Run Playback(interactive: animationplay).

Page curl transition. (Couldn't use the the handle transform so I had to hack around the perspective transform but it's okay I think). Video from : www.youtube.com See version 9 of Fade Frame plug-in |

Hi Tin Thank You for the most beautiful transition effect. If You do not mind, I would like to add this effect to Slideshow v.3. I have not looked at the code yet - but I have a question: if the possibility of changing the direction (choosing the initial corner) is a lot of changes in the code (it can be easy for the author of the plugin - but very difficult / time-consuming for others) ? |

I'll add an option in version 10 of plug-in I guess. heheh I guess it'll save people from having to flip the image, transition then flip back. UPDATE: version 10 uploaded with corner to peel from option. |

Thank You very much - as always you are reliable (this is complicated coding and I would not write it even in a week ) Ver. 3 Add: Page Curl effect with chosen corner option: - from Bottom Right - from Bottom Left - from Top Left - from Top Right According fade_frames.py version 10 by Tin Tran. https://gimplearn.net/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=2369&sid=cd6929e9f014606b69ce34aac81dc6f9 Due to the limited size of the attachment, only 10 frames were used for the effect (webp gives smaller size and super quality)

Just wanted to say Thank You for this. It's nice having all the animation in on place. I took me awhile getting Mathmap to work but all is good now.

Thanks SeriousTom It's nice having all the animation in on place - I would like to but unfortunately this is only a small selection from existing ones and quite specific because it concerns transitions between two layers... Rel 5 Add option: Reverse frames order, Add efect: Scrolling (layer Bottom/End is place/applied onto layer Top/Start - so that you can apply it to the text) - from Left to Right (L->R) - from Right to Left (R->L) - from Bottom to Top (B->T) - from Top to Bottom (T->B) - from corner Top-Left to Bottom-Right (TL->BR) - from corner Top-Right to Bottom-Left (TR->BL) - from corner Bottom-Left tp Top-Right (BL->TR) - from corner Bottom-Right to Top-Left (BR->TL). A request to Trandoductin: Your script Rotate_Plane_Animation.scm http://gimpchat.com/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=10857 works very well but I have a request for a possible modification to plugin Python (and only with one A->B transition because it currently works in a loop A->B->A)

Hi Tin Currently, the script (in one cycle) creates a 360 degree rotation. I would only like 180 degrees. |
